Banana Bread is delicious enough on it’s own but did you know you can turn it into French toast and have minds blown around the breakfast table? It’s true! A tantalizing caramelized French toast crust with moist, sweet banana bread inside…it doesn’t get much better! Crispy outside with pillowy soft banana bread goodness inside. This one will make you sink back in your chair for sure!
For the ultimate breakfast/brunch for special occasions like Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, birthdays or anniversaries, pair it with Spicy Candied Bacon, Nashville Hot Chicken Fried Steak, Apple Jalapeno Breakfast Sausage, Chipotle Home Fries, or Pesto Scrambled Eggs.

Ingredients
- Banana Bread
- 5 eggs
- 2 tbsp milk
- Cinnamon (optional)
Tools needed:
- Cooking spray (or butter if preferred)
- Skillet
- Spatula
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
- Cut your banana bread into about 3/4-1" slices.
- In a bowl, add 5 eggs and 2 tbsp of milk and if you prefer a little extra cinnamon but the banana bread has you covered on it’s own. Whisk until the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Transfer the eggs to a dish that will allow you to soak the bread in it.
- Allow the bread slices to soak up the egg mixture and repeat on the other side.
- Give a medium heat skillet a good coat of butter cooking spray.
- Add the egg soaked banana bread slices and allow them to caramelize for about 2-3 minutes before flipping over.
- Once you’ve flipped them, cover the skillet for an extra minute so the sides where the egg isn’t touching the skillet can get heated through.
- Put the slices on a cookie sheet and into a 200 degree oven to keep them warm as I’m preparing the other slices and/or breakfast sides.
- When you’re ready, it’s time to plate up and enjoy!
