This friendly reminder is not to freak you out but to let you get prepared. How many post holiday sentences begin with “NEXT year, I’m going to get organized and do X earlier” and then you end up running around like a maniac again the following year?
Let’s keep that promise this year!
Allow me to help you plan your treats! My 12 Days of Treats list can be found here. I’ve got everything from Easy Nutella Fudge that is made in the microwave to Ginger Molasses Cookies which every baker knows is basically free air freshener in addition to being chewy and delicious. I’ve even got treats for the dog (or cat) so you don’t get stink eye when you’re baking the human treats.
If cookies are your jam, this list of my favorite cookies should help make sure that cookie jar is full for family time or last minute get togethers! (Or when the only thing keeping you from needing bail money that day is a Deep Dark Chocolate Cookie stuffed with caramely goodness or a Peanut Butter Cookie that is literally 12 minutes from jar to your pie cookie hole.)
You can plan what treats you might like to make/bake and start a running list of ingredients you’ll need that you can add to as the year goes on. That way when the time comes to fire up the oven, you’ll be ahead of the game. Actually, if you REALLY want to be ahead of the game, this cookie dough shortcut will show you how I bake 10 different batches of cookies in one day without ending the day with a twitch and a stiff drink in my hand!
I will be doing another 12 Days of Treats this year starting December 1st, so if you haven’t already subscribed to the blog in the upper right hand corner, whatcha waiting for? You can get my treats delivered straight to your inbox and be ready to roll!
Now that we’ve got a plan in place, do you feel a little better? I do! I’ve got some people expecting batches of cookies for their Christmas gift and no need for me to break out into a cold sweat and neither should you! We’ve got this!
So let’s click that GIF below and enjoy the snowfall!
