Everyone remembers going to grandma’s house as a kid and seeing that big tin with pictures of shortbread cookies all over them. Come mid-year when you saw the tin from the holidays, you tore it open to show the cookie-less tin was where grandma now kept her needles and pin cushions. Foiled again. They weren’t the first ones you reached for as a kid when you had a plethora of options but if it’s no cookie or cookie, you’d take what you could get. Well, we can do better than that!
Brown butter takes these already delicious shortbread cookies to an elevated status which will have you fighting over the tin, not passing it by. Beware…if you leave them out, you will grab one or twelve every time you walk by.
A friend told me.
The video shows you how to bring it all together and what the recipe should look like in different stages.
