Let’s face it, we all want to speed up our time in the kitchen. While I find cooking meditative at times, there are other times I’m in no mood to be in there longer than needed. That’s when I break out my go-to kitchen gadgets to help me get things done faster so I can enjoy the fruits of my labor quicker…sometimes quite literally.
You can get specific gadgets like the apple corer/slicer (and I use that baby every single day!) which not only make it easier to get in your apple a day but help tremendously during pie season. I know, when is it NOT pie season? But you peel the apple, then run it through the corer and slicer and you only have to cut each wedge twice for nice even slices for your apple pie. (Or if you bake apple pies for a living or just more than the average bear, this model looks like it would do everything but peel it for you. Considering it myself!)
Not only do I have specific gadgets like that one but I have new ways to use ordinary kitchen tools like corn cob holders and ice cream scoops to get things done in a flash. So give the video a quick peep and see my favorite everyday kitchen gadgets! I’d love to hear yours in the comments below!

Never seen the Lil Chizler thing beofre but I could use that! I have been using an old plastic spatula.
Thanks for the idea!
Lisa
I use it all the time! It’ll help save your spatula and can get a little more stuck on stuff since it’s sturdy plastic!
I’ve never thought of using an ice cream scoop that way, what a great idea! I’ve also never seen the little scraper thingy, will have to keep an eye out for it in my local homewares shop. My favourite kitchen gadget is my ceramic ginger grater, which I use every single day to make fresh brewed ginger tea. I also frequently use my collection of silicone spatulas to “lick” the bowl clean every time, and I have a fine grater (called a Microplane) for zesting lemons that gets a good workout regularly because I’m such a lemon lover!
Thanks for the tips!! I found your post on the Blogger’s Pitstop this week.
The scraper is definitely a life saver and I use it every day! I only found it on Amazon but they’re going to be stocking stuffers for a LOT of people this year! You’ve got some great gadgets! I love my microplaner too and no better way to use a spatula! 😉
I love gadgets so this was great. Going to get some new gadgets to make my life easier. Thank you for sharing. Happy Summer, Kippi
Gadgets are the best!
At first I thought, Well, *I* don’t need the corn things (because I always cut the cooked corn off the cob), but now I need one for poking potatoes before baking–great idea! My favorite gadgets include: handheld lemon reamer, microplane grater and egg slicer. #BloggersPitStop
Yep! Those babies are perfect for pokin’ taters and you can pick up a set at the dollar store if you wouldn’t use them for anything else. Great list of gadgets from you, too!
I love my Apple Core Slicer and use it all the time! Thanks so much for sharing with us at Full Plate Thursday and sure hope you have a great week!

That apple core slicer is a life saver! I had to use a knife the other day because it was in the dishwasher and I complained like it was pioneer days or something!
I always love your videos and this one is so practical. I could use every one of your kitchen gadgets. This post was popular on the Blogger’s Pits Stop. Be looking for a feature on the next Pit Stop.
