Summer Recipe Round Up

There’s nothing better than the fresh, bright flavors of summer.   So many great fruits and veggies are in season, and the grill is begging to be fired up.  Not like you ever need an excuse to party but summer seems like the perfect excuse to gather with family and friends.  These are some of my favorite go-to recipes for summer.

For us, no cookout or family gathering is complete without The Cheeseball.  Load up on crackers because this gets super scooped with each helping!

If you’re looking to feed your inner southerner, this Pimento Cheese is just the ticket.  Dip it with crackers or chips or better yet, top your burger and watch everyone sink back in their chair!

Lemon Blueberry Ricotta Pancakes are bright, fresh and super fluffy!  You even get a nice protein kick from the ricotta, so they’re almost healthy between protein and fruit, right?

If you like oozy, stuffed burgers, this Ode to Slabtown Burger is just for you.  Filled with a slightly spicy cream cheese and topped with pepper jack cheese, your mouth will thank you almost as much as my husband does when I make it!

If you’re new to grilling, this tutorial on How to Grill the Perfect Steak may come in handy for you!  Who needs a restaurant?  Not you!

This is barely a recipe but this Cherry BBQ Chicken is a great twist on regular BBQ chicken.  The BBQ sauce is also great with beef roast for sammies.

Corn on the Cob with Herb Butter is the ultimate summer side dish.  The herb butter makes this summer staple even better!

You might be used to opening a can for your baked beans, but Homemade Baked Beans are way easier than you think and 100x tastier!  Customize it to your taste.

Up your side dish game with Pimento Cheese Potato Salad!  Delicious warm or cold, I made this as a housewarming gift for friends, and they said they almost cried when it was gone!

You’ll need some steak sauce to go with that steak, and this Homemade Steak Sauce is something everyone should make at least once!  It’s so good; you should gift it to others.  Makes a great gift for the foodie dude in your life!

It’s not summer without Sue’s Salsa!  Fresh ingredients, customizable to your heat level and perfect not just for tortilla chips but to top fish tacos, mix into rice or quinoa or top your morning eggs.

Spicy Red Grapefruit Vinaigrette is an amazing topper for your summer salads.  Any citrus can be substituted so experiment with oranges, lemon and lime to keep it interesting all season long!

Grilled Tropical Salsa will be one of your new favorites.  Grill it along with your chicken, pork or fish and top them for a vacation in every bite!

If you like pucker power, you’ll love these Key Lime Bars!  Thick, buttery shortbread on the bottom balances the creamy, tart key lime goodness on top.

Ice Cream Cone Cake can be customized so many different ways; you could do a new flavor ice cream or wafer each week.  It tastes like a combo between an ice cream cone and sundae…yes, please!

Don’t turn off the grill!  These Grilled Peaches with Vanilla Mascarpone kick up dessert with juicy peach deliciousnessand slightly sweet topping that melts in your mouth.

Lemon Raspberry Ricotta Cookies are bright, super fluffy cookies that scream summer but not in a rude way.  It’s more like a way that says, “yes, you would like another.”

Kids and adults alike will go bananas for Frozen Banoffee Treats.  It the quintessential summer treat on a stick and easy for the kiddies to help assemble!

Easy Italian Ice doesn’t begin to describe how easy this is.  Dump.  Freeze. Scrape.  Enjoy.  You don’t have to tell everyone how easy it is; it’ll be our secret!

If you’re a festival freak, you likely hit up the lemonade stands while you’re there.  Now you can make Lemon Shake Up’s at home made specifically to your taste of sweeter or more tart.

Lava Flow Cocktails will take you to the islands in every sip.  If you’re making them for non-drinkers or kids, they are just as swoon-worthy without the rum.

I can’t pay you, of course, but I can shower you with compliments.
    And booze.
